Yuliya Shelest is an artist, visionary, integrative psychotherapist, and actress. These three facets of her life intertwine, complement one another, and shape her artistic practice.

Her recent works are part of the series “Awakening,” launched in 2025. This cycle explores the journey of the Soul – the shift from closed states to openness – trust, vitality, and Love. Using symbols, color vibrations, and layered compositions, Shelest shares the stories of the human soul. Central figures in her paintings act as guides and guardians, interacting subtly with the viewer and evoking a sense of deep inner Truth and Knowledge.

Her painting process is both experimental and guided by intuition and inner impulse. She often works without a set plan, layering structures and color. The image gradually emerges, as if led by an unseen force, allowing the work to unfold organically on the canvas.

Through painting, new insights emerge that also enrich her therapeutic practice.

Within the “Awakening” cycle, each painting reveals a fragment of a single, infinite narrative. The works depict spaces where souls existed before and after incarnation. Sacred Stream and The Garden of Souls, for example, are places that souls once inhabited, affecting the viewer in a deeply healing way. Even remembering them, or a single attentive glance toward them, expands consciousness.

Shelest’s paintings open a gateway into these worlds. They restore connection with oneself and with other dimensions – with that which usually lies beyond everyday perception.
